This 1969 Chevelle Malibu has been in Australia since 1971, having orginally been bought in Denver by a US military officer who shipped it out to drive around Darwin and the Northern Territory. She was converted in 1974 after surviving a cyclone and has been in the McCoy family since then. Now owned by John and Donna McCoy-Lancaster in Sydney, the car is used as a daily driver for Donna and as a club car by the family. The Malibu runs a smooth 250, Turbo 350 and 12 bolt rear end. John is the President of the Chevrolet Club of New South Wales, based in Sydney. More photos of Chevelles and other Chevys can be found on www.nswchevclub.com. John and Donna also own a numbers matching 1971 Malibu four door hardtop with 402 big block, turbo 400 and 12 bolt rear as well as a 1957 Chevrolet Belair Sedan and a 1957 Nomad. All their cars are right hand drive. You can email John via president@nswchevclub.com
The photo was taken at the Australian National Chevrolet Festival in a place called Dubbo in western NSW (almost the outback).
